On 2-7/7/09, 14 of us went to Sabah , initially our plan is to conquer Mt Kinabalu but were unable to make it due to booking problem. So, we change our itinerary to Semporna instead where infamous Sipadan Island is located. We only hv one full day in Kota Kinabalu which we went for Water Rafting at Padas River, Ranau. +Borneo Backpacker Hostel where we stay, good choice for backpackers.
+there is a nice Bakuteh nearby for dinner, just look for the shop which is fullhouse.
+if nothing to do at night, there are cathay & gsc at kk town waiting for u.
Day 2 - White water rafting Padas river, Ranau
+must do
+semporna is a small town, 1-hour drive from tawau airport
+Sipadan inn where we stay - nice~
+for backpackers -scuba junkie (behind) is highly recommended
+dinner at Mabul Cafe at semporna.. try the sipadan fried rice
Day 4 - Mabul Island
+jump shot.. must do.
+snorkelling at mabul
+beautiful corals there
+seafood dinner at semporna
Day 5 - Sibuan Island
+perfect island
+good place to sunbath
+dinner at taman selera, kk riverside - local foods
Day 6 - Balik kampung
+eat the beef noodle for breakfast at kk town.. the shop is always full
